We
Enjoyed Italy the relaxed, unhurried way! Instead of changing
hotels nightly we stayed a leisurely night in Rome followed by
four nights in Sorrento, three nights in Asissi in the Umbria
region and two nights in Rome. Sorrento and Asissi were
perfect destinations to enable us to make day trips to all the
major sights of Italy and still have a relaxing holiday! We
experienced the culinary delights of Italy by sampling the
wines of the regions, tours of wineries, Olive Oil factories,
Mozzarella farm tours. We enjoyed cooking classes as well!
In the ancient cities of Pompeii and Herculaneum we walked in
the footsteps of the ancients. In Rome we walked the streets
of the Forum to see where Caesar was betrayed. We imagined the
roar of the crowd at the Collesseum and threw our coins in
Trevi Fountain so that we will return again to the Eternal
city.

tour guide will take us on journey through Sicily that will be
like non other! Our ten night journey will begin with two
nights in Rome where we will tour the Forum, the Coliseum, the
Vatican, Sistine chapel, the Pantheon, Trevi Fountain and the
Spanish Steps just to name a few sights we will see. Then we
will spend two nights in Sorrento at Riccardos hotel visiting
Pompeii, allows us Capri and Positano on the Amalfi Coast
before we take a ferry to the mountaintop town of Taormina
where we will enjoy two nights at Naxos Beach Hotel. We will
enjoy time for shopping and visitng the Greek Amphitheatre in
Taormina, a visit to Savoca (where the Godfather was filmed)
and Mt. Etna, a very active volcano! An overnight in Siracusa,
hometown of Archimedes and on to the seaside town of Agrigento
where we will visit the historic Piazza Medina with the Roman
floor mosaic and the unbelievable Valley of the Temples by
night - a sight not to be missed! A city tour of Palermo
visiting Morealil Church on the mountain top before our
overnight ferry to Rome for our last night and a wonderful
